Part of a group of negatives taken for November 19, 1964, Arkansas Gazette article "An Inspiring Sight in Virgin Timber Preserve," B1:2. Mrs. Margie Bryant examines the Morris Pine, a 250 year-old, 130 feet tall loblolly pine on November 17, 1964. It stands on virgin forest owned and protected by the Crossett Division of the Georgia-Pacific Corporation, known as the Levi Wilcoxon Forest, in Ashley County. The tree is 14 feet around at the base and is 53 inches in diameter. Mrs. Bryant is the secretary for the corporation at the executive offices.
